Biography

Researcher and entrepreneur at MIT interested in conceptually formulating and developing innovative technologies in the area of bio-pharmaceutical sciences. I am interested in developing new platforms for drug discovery through application of a variety of analytical, synthetic, bio-engineering and bio-pharmaceutical approaches. I take multidisciplinary approach to problem solving which includes collaborations with academic groups and industry partners. I enjoy working in both academia and industry. I believe academic institutions are not only great incubators of knowledge and futuristic ideas but also have resources to crystallize them into marketable technologies which can be best put to use to help greater population by either generating knowledge in the form of scientific publications or starting up companies.
My work has led to the development of three powerful drug discovery platforms which target enzymatic transition states, mutation rates of many clinically important viruses and bacterial riboswitches.
In my free time I enjoy sailing, swimming, running, mentoring and attending events to exchange ideas with like-minded people.
